• Artem Mirolevich, Artist in Residence at The Pearl, North Lauderdale, FL

“I am so grateful to American Landmark: Artist in Residence for this amazing opportunity to be able to create and grow artistically in a stress free environment. Fellow artists, the application for the next round of artists is now open and, partly due to our success, the program is growing to encompass more artists and offer a variety of locations! It’s been a great experience and I highly recommend to all creative personalities!”

  • Brian Velazquez Artist in Residence at The Pointe, Tampa FL

“These classes have become more than just educational—they’ve become a catalyst for connection. Neighbors who might never have met now form bonds that extend beyond the classroom. The painting sessions offer a relaxing, therapeutic outlet for self-expression, while the video production classes empower individuals to tell their own stories and document community events. Together, these experiences have fostered a sense of unity, creativity, and shared purpose, strengthening the fabric of our neighborhood and inspiring participants to support one another both artistically and personally.”

  • Kirsten Lahman, Artist in Residence at Drake at Deerwood in Jacksonville, FL

“The residency has been an incredible opportunity that allowed an emerging artist like myself to move to a new city, work from a designated studio, and share my craft with the community. Stepping into my new role as an art teacher has pushed me to expand beyond the direct results of my work and to engage with awesome residents, build community, and learn to meet others where they are by walking through a process with positivity and encouragement. The program has simply been an amazing experience”

  • Rae Wilson, Artist in Residence at The Access Tempe, AZ

“This opportunity felt too good to be true, but it absolutely was not! I could not have imagined the kind of impact I went on to have and experience with The Access Residents. Every week I host a class/art experience and have gotten to know and love so many of the attendees. In my personal artworks I focus on creating connections, and in practice I am always looking for ways to use art to build connections. My residency has also refreshed my mind on how public art changes the environment for the better. In the past year I have painted an entryway welcome mural, the rooftop basketball court, and I am currently transforming the property electrical boxes. In all of these projects I am touched to hear direct feedback from residents who let me know that my service to the community is appreciated. I am forever grateful to American Landmark artist In Residency program for furthering my mission to connect & impact”
