Meet, Rachel!
Rachel Lubeck is a multidisciplinary artist, creative director, and advocate for artists whose work centers on community building, environmental stewardship, and expanding access to creativity as a tool for personal and collective well-being.
Her path has blended art, architecture, and community engagement. She began studying architecture at Cornell University before moving to New York City to complete her Fine Arts degree at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She later continued her studies in Vienna, where she explored visionary art — a movement that views creativity as a catalyst for expanded awareness, healing, and the welfare of humanity.
Rachel’s practice gradually evolved beyond the studio into community-based work. After relocating to St. Petersburg, Florida, she became involved in eco-village initiatives and neighborhood art projects supporting artists through housing relief, gardening, and public mural work. These experiences ultimately coalesced during the pandemic into the launch of the American Landmark Artist-in-Residence Program, which provides housing support for artists while bringing creative programming and community engagement directly to residential communities.
As Director of the program, Rachel works to remove barriers to creative access for both children and adults, helping cultivate environments where art, wellness, and community life intersect.
Alongside her arts and community work, Rachel is deeply invested in land stewardship and sustainable living practices, with growing interests in earth-based building, conservation, and regenerative land projects. She hopes to one day develop an eco-lodge and creative retreat space that integrates art, nature, and community learning.
Outside of her professional work, Rachel can often be found painting with friends, tending plants and gardens, or spending time with her dogs, cat, and chickens. At the center of her work and life is a belief that creativity, connection to land, and shared community experiences can catalyze meaningful personal and collective transformation.
