Simone Anderson
Simone Anderson is the Artist in Residence at Scouts Landing in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A self-taught visual artist, Simone has been passionate about art for as long as she can remember, using it as a creative outlet to process emotions, reflect on life experiences, and connect with others.
Simone works in a variety of mediums, including painting, digital art, and jewelry making. She is also a children’s book illustrator and the founder of Simone’s Little Shoppe, her online storefront. Her colorful painting style is marked by bold lines, expressive brushstrokes, and a spontaneous, emotion-driven approach. Rather than sketching or planning her pieces in advance, Simone lets her feelings guide the process—embracing the unpredictability of creation as part of the beauty of art.
“I love asking people how a painting makes them feel,” she says. “Everyone has a different answer, and that’s what makes art so powerful.”
Since 2020, Simone has pursued art full time and is passionate about encouraging others to follow their own creative paths—even if it doesn’t fit the mold. She’s excited to share her love of art with the Scouts Landing community and hopes to inspire residents of all ages to embrace artistic expression in their own way.
